Brigadier General Enoch O. Woodhouse

Member of the Tuskegee Airmen

Brigadier General Enoch O. Woodhouse, II, one of the last surviving Tuskegee Airmen at 96, served with distinction in the 332nd Fighter Wing. Despite facing racial adversity in the military, he completed active duty in 1949 and retired from the Air Force Reserves in 1997. Woodhouse was also a Yale and Boston University School of Law graduate, establishing a law practice in Boston. His diverse experiences included diplomatic courier service in Europe and the Middle East, notably leaving Havana in 1959 following Fidel Castro's rise. Honored with the Congressional Gold Medal in 2007, Woodhouse was appointed Brigadier General by Governor Charlie Baker in 2022, with a mural commemorating his achievements at Logan Airport's Terminal C.
