Jane Mendillo 

Jane leads the company managing Harvard University’s $35 billion portfolio consisting of the endowment and related assets. Prior to rejoining HMC in mid-2008, Jane was Chief Investment Officer at Wellesley College.

From 1987-2002 Jane served as one of Harvard Management Company’s senior investment officers, managing investments in equities, alternative assets and natural resources, including the University’s first investments in timberland. Jane received the 100 Women in Hedge Funds 2007 Leadership Award for her “talent, ethics, and passion, which help define the industry’s standard of excellence.” In 2008 and 2009 she was one of Forbes 100 Most Powerful Women.

Jane earned her B.A. and M.B.A. at Yale University. She serves on Investment Committees at Rockefeller Foundation and Partners Healthcare. Jane is married to environmentalist Ralph Earle and has two children.
